HONR 101A&B: Critical Thinking and Oral Communications
Freshman Honors Courses

Enrollment limited to participants in the University Honors Program. Fulfills University General Education requirements in Critical Thinking (I.C.) and Oral Communication (I.A.).

The theme of the seminars for the 2004/05 academic year is Critical Consumption.

Please note: The first class meeting of Honors 101A on Monday, August 23 will be in the Academic Senate Chambers, rear of the bookstore.

HONR 101A - CRITICAL THINKING EMPHASIZED
Seminar for first-year Honors Program students each fall. Emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills. Interpretation, analysis, criticism and advocacy of ideas encountered in designated Honors Program activities. All courses are on Monday and Wednesday from 4-5:15 p.m.

HONR 101B - ORAL COMMUNICATION EMPHASIZED
Seminar for first-year Honors Program students each spring. Emphasizes the development of oral communication skills. Construction, presentation and critical analysis of oral presentations related to ideas encountered in designated Honors Program activities. Instruction in effective oral communication and critical thinking.
