Spring 2023 Checkout Guide

As you prepare for Finals and Check Out, please take a moment to review the following important information. The Housing and Residential Engagement Team wishes you successful completion of the semester and sends our Congratulations to the Class of 2023! Thank you for calling Student Housing at Cal State Fullerton home for the 2022-23 academic year.

24-Hour Quiet Hours - Each semester beginning at 5 p.m. on the last Friday of classes through 5 p.m. on the Saturday of finals week, a 24‐Hour Quiet Hour policy is in effect.
General Check-Out Information:
Any resident not living in Housing and Residential Engagement for the summer or has not been granted an extension must move out by 8 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023. If you need to request a late stay, please fill out a request form here.
Your Check-out Room Condition Report must be completed before you check out and can be found in your CSUF Housing Portal.
When your room is empty and clean, head to the location listed below, and a staff member will check you out and collect your keys. See the sections below for your community:
- Residence Hall and Apartment Residents
- Suites Residents
When you finalize your checkout with our staff, your room must be empty and clean. You will not be able to access your space after this step. Failure to check out properly by not leaving your room clean or completing your Room Condition Report can result in an improper check-out fee of $120.
Residents must pick up all packages and mail by May 19 at 8 pm. After this date and time, items will be forwarded (if possible) or returned to the sender.
Goodwill donation bins will be available for residents from Friday, May 12 through Friday, May 19. Donate unwanted clothing and housewares to help create jobs in Orange County. Bins will be located on the first floor of each residence hall, apartment, and suite building. Please do not remove items from the donation bins as this is considered theft.
Non-Perishable Food donation bins will be available to residents from Monday, May 15 through Friday, May 19 in the Housing Piazza.
The Gastronome and Community Market will continue their normal operating hours until dinner on Friday, May 19. As a reminder, declining balance and block meal plans expire Friday, May 19, 2023.
Each semester beginning at 5 p.m. on the last Friday of classes, May 12, through 5 p.m. on the Saturday of finals week, May 19, a 24‐Hour Quiet Hour policy is in effect.

Bins and vacuums will be available during the hours listed above. However, we strongly encourage you to rent a vacuum earlier in the week or use your personal moving items since we have a limited inventory of bins and vacuums.
After Hours Check Out
Express Check-out is available between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m., where you can visit the Holly Mailroom to drop off your keys. No bins or vacuums will be available for check-out during this time.
Monday May 15 through Friday May 19:
9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Redwood Reception | 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Redwood Mailroom
Bins and vacuums will be available at the Holly office on Monday 5/15 and Tuesday 5/16 from 8 am to 5 pm and at Juniper 150 on Wednesday 5/17 through Friday 5/19 from 8 am to 9 pm. However, we strongly encourage you to rent a vacuum earlier in the week or use your personal moving items since we have a limited inventory of bins and vacuums. Bins and vacuums will not be available for checkout outside of these hours.
After Hours Check Out
Express Check-out is available between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm completion of your Room Condition Report. No bins or vacuums will be available for check-out during this time.
