Fees
Fees for the
2011-2012 academic year are listed below. Fees include residency in a
furnished, air-conditioned room with paid gas, electricity, water, internet
utilities and a meal plan. All residents are required to have at least the
minimal meal plan that is included in their fees. Residents desiring to
upgrade to a more substantial meal plan are able to do so and the
additional fees for the upgrade may be found below. Fees do not include
cable TV or telephone.
Dining Plan
All residents of the residence halls have a Continuous Dining plan for 5 days of the week. Continuous Dining plans allow you unlimited entries into The Gastronome dining facility Monday through Friday. Students can eat as much as they wish during their stay in the dining facility. If a resident is interested in upgrading to a 7 day per week plan, they are available. The 7 day plan provides unlimited entries every day The Gastronome dining facility is open during the academic year.
Block Dining plans allow you a certain number of entrance credits to The Gastronome dining facility per semester. Once inside the facility, you will be able to eat as much as you wish from all the different cuisine stations. After you have finished eating and are ready to leave, you may not return to the facility unless you use another entrance credit. Residents living in the apartments are provided an 80 block plan, and may upgrade to a 120 block plan or either of the continuous dining plans.
Each meal plan comes with a specified amount of declining balance credits. Declining balance credits can be used for purchases in the new Late Night Cafe or the Community Market. The Late Night Cafe is open until 1:00am Monday through Friday offering students a selection of hot entrees and snacks. The Community Market will offer residents a location to purchase their produce and sundry items in the comfort of their living community.

Application
Demand for on
campus housing has historically exceeded our ability to accommodate
applicants. If the need for housing space exceeds the number of housing
contracts that are available, housing will be offered to incoming students
via a lottery system.
Applications for
housing are separate from any other application process. Expressing
interest in student housing via CSU Mentor or stating that you anticipate
on-campus housing on financial aid forms does not initiate a housing
application.
Incoming Freshmen
Freshman for the 2012-2013 academic year may apply from March 1 through March 22 to be a part of our initial lottery. On March 23 a waitlist of interested students will begin.
While all applicants to the university may apply for student housing, only admitted students will be offered a housing license agreement. If a student is not admitted when they are pulled for the lottery, they will not receive an offer of housing, but will be placed back into the pool of applicants. Students do not need to accept admission in order to receive an offer of housing.
If all admitted students who applied between March 1 and March 22 have received a housing offer and space is still available, we will go to the waitlist. Students will be offered space on a first come, first served basis.
On March 1 there will be a link on the left column of the housing home page. To apply, click on the link and follow the instructions provided. Once your application is successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email to your CSUF email account. License agreements will be extended on April 9, 2012 and will be due back to our office by the close of business on April 27 with a $350 initial payment.
Transfer Students
Students transferring into Cal State Fullerton may begin applying on March 1. These applicants will be offered space on a first come, first served basis.
Current CSUF Students
The application for current CSUF opens on February 6 and the first review of applications will begin on February 17. Applications will be evaluated based on a first come, first served priority are indicated by the date and time that the application is submitted. We will accept applications through the Current CSUF Student Application Process link.
All applications will need to have a valid CWID that matches the name on the application. Please note that applications which do not have valid CWIDs will be void. If an application is completed for someone who is not a current CSUF student, it will be void.
Availability
While space is
always limited in student housing, on campus housing is most readily
available for fall semester. License Agreements are offered for the entire
academic year, August through May. Spaces may become available during the
contract period for various reasons. When this happens we will invite
students on the waitlist into the student housing community.
