Our
Philosophy
The residence halls at Cal State Fullerton exist to provide students
a clean, safe and stimulating environment in which they can pursue
their academic programs. It is our hope that the halls will also
serve as a stimulant for cultural and social education, community
living and experiences and leadership training.
Toward these goals, the University has engaged the services of
a comprehensive professional staff. This staff is involved in
monitoring services, counseling, programming, community development
and, when necessary, discipline.
The goals of the CSUF Residence Halls for 2006-2007 include:
- providing an environment which allows optimum conditions
for the academic pursuits of the residents.
- supporting the academic programs of the University by broadening
the intellectual and cultural interests of the students.
- promoting individual and group activities which provide opportunity
to exercise leadership abilities in self-governance and community
decision making.
- developing a cohesive community where students of all racial,
ethnic, and socio-economic groups, and students from varied
backgrounds and life-styles can live and learn together in a
pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
- providing whatever support is needed in insure the personal
growth and academic success of our resident students.
