Dropbox Paper

Dropbox is migrating its Paper documents into the regular Dropbox file system, so your Paper documents will now appear on dropbox.com as files with a .paper extension. Existing Paper documents will be moved into a "Migrated Paper Docs" folder (within your personal folder). You can access them through your Dropbox desktop account or through a web browser.

Purpose

The purpose is to create a unified experience, making it easier for users to organize, find, and share all their files in one place. This integration allows Paper documents to exist alongside regular files, be stored in standard folders, and use the same version history.

What to Expect

No down time is expected during migration.
If you have any shared documents owned by an external user such as a vendor, please bookmark your document(s) and folder(s).

Review our Dropbox Paper Checklist here on how to prepare for the migration.
