LGBTQ+ History Month 2025
Empowering LGBTQ+ Titans
LGBTQ+ History Month is an annual month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. It was founded in 1994 and each year members of the community take pride in honoring the people that came before us. Additionally, National Coming Out Day is on the 11th of October, chosen to mark the date of the Second March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights in 1987. National Coming Out Day acknowledges the hardships of coming out, but also the joy and importance in being proud of our identities.
Cal State Fullerton celebrates LGBTQ History Month by putting on various programs and events surrounding the experience of queer and transgender people. Led by the LGBT Queer Resource Center, the campus creates spaces to celebrate queer and transgender idenitity, discuss systems that impact the community, and empower students to feel affirmed and confident in who they are.

National Coming Out Week: Pride Parade
Tuesday, October 7
11:00 a.m., Flagpoles in front of Langsdorf Hall
Kick off National Coming Out Week with joy, visibility, and community at our annual Pride Parade! Inspired by the former campus tradition of raising the inclusive rainbow flag on the university flagpoles, this celebration continues to honor the power of LGBTQIA+ visibility and solidarity.
Students, staff, and faculty are invited to gather with flags, signs, and pride gear as we march across campus together, celebrating the strength, resilience, and vibrancy of the LGBTQIA+ community. The Pride Parade serves as both a reflection of our history and a powerful statement of belonging, reminding our Titan community that every identity deserves to be seen and celebrated.
Join us as we walk in unity, wave our colors high, and fill the campus with pride!
