The Mathematics department offers several opportunities for employment. These are the current positions available:

 

Assistant Professor of Statistics Education

The Department of Mathematics is seeking a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Statistics/Data Science Education with appointment to begin Fall 2024. We are looking for highly motivated and talented faculty who can promote a creative classroom and diverse culture, mentor students, and produce transdisciplinary research.

 

Part Time Lecturer

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for part-time instructor positions to teach credit-bearing mathematics courses at the lower division level. Applications for the Part Time Lecturer (PTL) position will be accepted beginning in March to teach the following fall semester.

 

Teaching Associate

We offer interested masters students, depending on availability, part-time instructor positions where they teach one or more of our elementary mathematics courses.  Applications for the Teaching Associate (TA) position will be accepted beginning in March to teach the following fall semester.

 

GRADERs

We offer interested bachelors and masters students Grader positions to evaluate student homework and quizzes under a faculty member for a term appointment. Those interested are encouraged to submit an online application in our Grader applicant pool prior to the start of the upcoming term. Applicants receiving a federal financial award are preferred and should apply as Federal Work Study applicants. Applicants not receiving a federal financial award should apply as a Non-Federal Work Study Applicant.

 

Apprentices

We offer interested bachelors students, depending on availability, Apprentice positions. The role of the apprentice is gradual, with experience and time the apprentice assimilates into the classroom setting at their own pace. The apprentice then works side-by-side with a mentor faculty in an active learning classroom. Those interested are encouraged to submit an online application in our Apprentice applicant pool prior to the start of the upcoming term. Applicants receiving a federal financial award are preferred and should apply as Federal Work Study applicants. Applicants not receiving a federal financial award should apply as a Non-Federal Work Study Applicant.
