Orientation at CSUF is a Two Part Experience
Part 1: New Student Orientation
We are committed to your academic success at CSUF. New Student Orientation (NSO) is an exciting time to meet fellow students, learn about campus life, engage with academic advisors and register for classes. Your NSO session date will take place between June through August and your specific date of attendance is based on your major. Attendance at NSO is mandatory for all first time freshmen. You will be able to make your reservation for orientation beginning on Monday, April 6.
Part 2: Student Life Orientation
Student Life Orientation (SLO) is an opportunity to connect to our abundant and active campus life and learn how to make the most of your time outside of the classroom. You will participate in a scavenger hunt within the campus and attend interactive workshops, all while making friends and learning how to get the most of your Titan experience. SLO takes place in August, and you will select your SLO date when you sign up for your New Student Orientation.
We highly recommend you complete the pre-advisement tutorial before you attend your New Student Orientation. This interactive tutorial will prepare you for your orientation date and allow you to prepare questions for your faculty advisors, assistant deans and orientation leaders for the day of.
