What to Expect at Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO)
New Student Orientation is a full day program (8:00am - 5:30pm), which integrates academic requirements, social standards and connection with the CSUF community.  You can expect to meet fellow new students, converse with academic advisors, register for classes and learn more about the many benefits of being a Titan.  New Student Orientation is mandatory for all first time freshmen.  The NSO programs are held during the months of June and July.

Student Life Orientation (SLO)
Student Life Orientation is a full day program (8:00am - 5:00pm), focused on how to be successful in conjunction with the classroom.  While this component is optional, all students are encouraged to attend.  Students will participate in a scavenger hunt, attend interactive workshops, and learn about how to get involved on campus (clubs, organizations, Greek Life, study abroad, on campus jobs, volunteering, and much more!).  The SLO programs are held during the month of August.
