Congratulations and Welcome!

New Student Programs congratulates you on your acceptance into California State University, Fullerton! We know you have a wonderful experience ahead of you full of great memories. That said, we know the transition into college life can be both exciting and challenging. By attending orientation, we can help you make the right choices as you begin your journey toward academic success!

Please take the time now to read through the information in this website BEFORE signing up for an orientation session date. This will help prevent you from signing up for the wrong session.

Why is Orientation Important?

FIRST-TIME FRESHMAN

You will be able to sign up for a Summer 2010 New Student Orientation (NSO) session beginning Monday, April 5, 2010 at 12:00pm.

New Student Orientation (NSO) is MANDATORY for all first-time freshmen (admitted for fall 2010). All first-time freshmen admitted for fall 2010 must sign up for a New Student Orientation session no later than 5:00pm on Thursday, May 6, 2010 in order to attend Cal State Fullerton in the fall. Signing up for NSO confirms your intent to attend CSUF. If you do not sign up for a session date, you risk losing your admissions offer to the university

TRANSFER STUDENTS

If you have been admitted for fall 2010, you will be able to sign up for a Summer 2010 Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) session or log on to the Online Transfer Overview beginning Monday, April 5, 2010 at 12:00pm.

If you were admitted for fall 2009 and would like to complete the Online Transfer Overview, please click on the link below:

Begin Online Transfer Overview

All newly admitted transfer students must either attend a Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) session or complete the Online Transfer Overview before registering for their second semester courses.

Orientation is a great opportunity for you to meet fellow new students and make valuable connections with current Cal State Fullerton students, faculty and staff. New students who make these connections and create these friendships tend to be more successful in their transition to college. In fact, students who attend orientation are more likely to be satisfied with their college experience, achieve better grades and graduate!
