Congratulations New Titan!

You are entering one of the most diverse campuses in the nation, and we are excited to help you make CSUF your new home. The next steps in preparing for the start of your first semester includes completing your mandatory orientation requirement. As a Transfer student, your orientation requirement consists of you completing one of the following orientation options, and a mandatory training highlighted below.

Transfer Students Have Two Options to Fulfill their Mandatory Orientation Requirement

Option 1: Transfer Student Orientation In-Person (TSO)

The in-person Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) is a full-day program designed to allow you to meet other transfer students, receive academic advising, meet faculty in your major, and connect with current CSUF students. We have designed workshops to assist with a successful transition to CSUF. Our workshops include information on getting involved on campus, on-campus career services, financial aid and university fees. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a campus tour and get your TitanCard, the official CSUF student ID card.

The cost of attending a TSO is $60 which covers your meals and materials for the day.

Please note that once registered for TSO, the program fees are non-refundable, and completing the Online Transfer Overview does not cancel registration for the in-person TSO.

Option 2: Online Transfer Overview (OTO)

The Online Transfer Overview (OTO) is a 45 minute electronic overview of campus resources and services. OTO will highlight important policies, campus resources, and provide you with contact information for advising locations in your Academic College.

Participation in the online overview satisfies the orientation requirement for transfer students but does not provide academic advising. It is recommended that students who select this orientation option seek academic advising through an academic department or the Academic Advising Center. Please note that depending on your college you may be required to attend an in-person Transfer Student Orientation, or attend mandatory advising.

Please note that once registered for TSO, the program fees are non-refundable, and completing the Online Transfer Overview does not cancel registration for the in-person TSO.

Not Anymore: Protecting Our Campus Community from Sexual Harassment and Interpersonal Violence

CSUF wants to make sure you know how to recognize violence, know the options for reporting violence, the resources available to students who experience violence, and ways our campus works to prevent and raise awareness of violence.  In an effort to provide all Titans with information on how to stay safe, all incoming students are required to complete Not Anymore.  Not Anymore is a series of videos about how you can prevent and respond to interpersonal violence, including sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.  This training is part of a campaign under "Title IX", a federal regulation that prohibits discrimination and harassment based on sex and gender on our campus.

Not Anymore is a required of all students and must be completed before you attend NSO.  You can access Not Anymore through your Orientation Registration on Titan Online.

Failure to complete this training prior to NSO may result in the placement of a registration hold.  It's on all of us as Titans to intervene to stop discrimination, harassment and violence from occurring.
