Blue words that say Lunch and Learn Navigating Research Compliance

Join us for a Lunch & Learn session during Research Week to learn how research compliance at CSUF ensures that research is conducted safely, ethically, and legally—an essential aspect for both faculty and students involved in research. The Office of Research Compliance will guide you through key areas, including the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), explaining their importance, required training, and application processes. We'll also dive into the Institutional Review Board (IRB)—what it is, why it matters for students and faculty conducting human research, and how to submit IRB protocols confidently. This session will equip you with the knowledge of research compliance requirements and how to navigate them, ensuring your research aligns with university, state, and federal regulations. There will be time for questions at the end, so come prepared to learn how to ensure your research is compliant every step of the way.
