Symposium on Student Research

Dr. Dawn Person of the College of Education will discuss the benefits of student engagement in research. She will be followed by a panel discussion on how students can engage in research and find funding opportunities. Panelists include Dr. Mark Filowitz (Associate Dean of College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics), Dr. Katherine Powers (Director of Graduate Studies Office), Leaa Short (Geography Graduate Student), and Katie Ayala (Executive Vice-President of ASI).  

Outstanding Student Scholarly and Creative Activities Award

The winners of the 1st annual CSUF Outstanding Student Scholarly and Creative Activities Award will be announced. One undergraduate or graduate student from each college will be awarded this honor.  

Student Poster/Exhibit Session

TSU Alvarado Wednesday March 20th 12:30pm-4:00pm

Undergraduate and Graduate students will present their research/creative activity through a poster presentation or exhibit. If you are interested in presenting, please see instructions below. Students who attend the poster/exhibit session can enter an opportunity drawing for great prizes!  

Instructions to Submit for Poster/Exhibit Session:

Please email the following information to ORD@fullerton.edu: Your name, email address, college, major, title of presentation, faculty mentor’s name, and indicate if poster or art exhibit and if you cannot present during one of the two times. (Email Subject line: Poster/exhibit submission.) The first 60 submissions are guaranteed to be selected. Deadline to apply is Thursday, February 28th, 2013. (Students will present during one of two times: 12:30-2:00pm or 2:30-4:00pm.) Email Drs. Binod Tiwari (btiwari@fullerton.edu) or Nathalie Carrick (ncarrick@fullerton.edu) with questions. Posters cannot exceed 30’’X 40’’. Students exhibiting art, please contact Drs. Tiwari and Carrick regarding space requirements.
