The Admissions and Records Office is the office to visit to request a transcript, register for classes, get my grad check, get an add/drop form, submit an address or name change. These and many other functions related to your classes, registration processes and official student status are performed in A&R.

The Children's Center is located on the western edge of campus just north of the intersection of State College Blvd and Dorothy Lane. CSUF students, staff or faculty can apply to use the services for their children aged 6 months in the fall and 12 months in the spring through 5 years. There is a nominal fee, space is limited and admittance is based on need. Call 714.278.2961 for complete information.

There are many computer labs on campus; some are restricted to certain majors and are used in support of classroom work and other labs are open to all students. Check with your department and dean’s offices’ for the most current information.

The Computer Center provides the main computer lab for student use in New Library 30. (North) The lab has 90 terminals; 30 Macintosh and 60 PC. There is no fee, but you must show a valid student ID. Printing is available; dot matrix printing is free, laser printouts are 25 cents payable only with Titan Tender. Hours are the same as main library.

Titan Student Union has a Computer & Typing Room, 714.278.7629. It contains IBM compatible PCs, Macintosh computers, laser printers and commercial quality typewriters. The lab is available for a nominal fee to all students.

Computer labs in academic schools and departments

SBAE: LH 322A is an open computer lab and available to any currently enrolled student who pays the $15 fee. It has 53 workstations with Windows95 and the programs used in SBAE classes. The fee is paid to the University Cashier as an open lab fee.

SOTA School of the Arts has several labs that are designated for SOTA students only. They use them in conjunction with their major classes (i.e., scene design lab, computer animation lab, and music department. resource lab).

NSM School of NSM has a drop in computer lab in MH 380 and has MH 553 which is a classroom facility. MH 380 is half Mac and half PC; MH 553 has 24 Macs. A fee is required to use either one.

COMM School of Communications has several computer labs the use of which is limited to majors in the school. Majors should check with the department.

ECS School of Engineering and Computer Science maintains computer labs for its majors. ECS students should consult with their professors regarding use of these computer labs.

HDCS School of Human Development and Community Service maintains computer labs for its majors and for use in support of their course work. HDCS students should consult with their professors regarding use of these computer labs.

The Office of Extended Education is a part of the University that offers many classes, certificate programs, professional development classes and personal enrichment opportunities on campus and at several off campus sites.

Student Financial Services UH 180, 714.278.2495, is the office where you will make payments on loans, pay registration fees and parking fees, pay for transcripts, find out about a financial hold on your account, inquire about Financial Aid disbursements, direct deposit for financial aid check and many other financial transactions.

Food services are available at Carl’s Jr. is located just east of University Hall and at the Starbucks Coffee and Healthy Choice Deli is on the 2nd floor of Langsdorf Hall and at Starbucks Coffee is on the 2nd floor of the Titan Bookstore.

Titan Student Union has many food service vendors including, Green Burrito Mexican food; Rock ‘n’ Roll pasta in the Garden Cafe; Busy Bee Chinese food; Best of Marie Callender’s; Togo’s Sandwich Shop; Roundtable Pizza Pub; Starbucks Coffee. Most eating places are open from 7 AM to 9PM during the regular school year. However, hours of operations do vary.

Peer Mentor Training
The Student Leadership Institute offers programs to train peer mentors and student leaders. Students who go through the program will earn a certificate.

Personal counseling may be helpful if you have concerns about relationships, personal growth issues, developing self-esteem, assertiveness, emotional coping skills, stress reduction, depression/anxiety or eating disorders. University Recreation Services in PE 121 provides recreation services and programs free to students. The services include racquetball and tennis courts; swimming and diving pools; gymnasium and weight room; an intramural sports program of competitive leagues and tournaments; and sports clubs that compete outside of the university.

Tutoring is available in many locations on campus. Check with the department or dean's office for the course with which you need tutoring. Location of the labs and open hours will vary each semester and sometimes weekly; please check with each office before making plans to use the facilities. Many academic departments maintain list of graduate students who do private tutoring.
