Welcome from the Vice President
Student Affairs transforms lives.
The mission of the Division of Student Affairs at Cal State Fullerton is powerfully defined by those four words. Serving a student population of more than 40,000, we provide support and resources designed to empower Titans throughout their journey of academic, personal and professional growth. Guided by our core values of student-centeredness, integrity, diversity, collaboration, and excellence, we relentlessly strive to increase student retention, provide exceptional career advising, enhance the Titan Experience, develop comprehensive assessment plans, engage in talent development efforts and successfully graduate students.
Thanks to the extensive scope of the Division of Student Affairs, which includes the areas of Student Engagement, Student Retention, Student Transitions, Associated Students, Inc., Title IX and Intercollegiate Athletics, we are positioned in an uncommon way that enables us to comprehensively connect with the diverse campus community. More specifically, we have the infrastructure to carefully implement progressive high-impact practices (HIPs) and exercise cross-divisional collaboration, equipping our students with the knowledge and skills required for success at CSUF and after degree completion.
We also realize that on the path to a diploma, every student encounters unique challenges. Mindful of the diverse student body at CSUF, the Division of Student Affairs staff embraces students from all backgrounds and strives to tailor programs to meet specific needs. We build upon the strengths that students bring to our institution, promoting the ideas of change, social responsibility, personal growth and new ideas while providing opportunities for community involvement, multicultural experiences, leadership training and career development. Moreover, we understand how important it is to be culturally relevant, and sensitive of the resources and the college learning experience provided to students, particularly to those who historically have been marginalized and underrepresented in higher education.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our mission, and I invite you to further explore the programs and services offered. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Berenecea Johnson Eanes, Ph.D.
