| What Sets Our President's Scholars
Program Apart?
Beyond the obvious attraction of financial
benefits and campus privileges, our scholars cite intangible qualities
of the program as their most valued. As one scholar said,
which you hear over and over again, "You get connected right
away with an incredible group of people."
Our program encompasses the entire university community
– offering support, recognition, visibility and access to
unlimited opportunities. You will meet community members and donors,
business professionals, and President's Scholars alumni who want
to share their success stories with you.
Scholars enjoy leadership roles and participation
in numerous community and campus activities. The scholarship is
unique in that it provides students with opportunities to get involved
and give back to the university and the community. Opportunities
for involvement are endless – whether it's taking leadership
roles in the President's Scholars student organization, planning
volunteer activities, or working with community support groups.
Before your first day of classes at Cal State Fullerton,
you're already part of a close-knit community of accomplished students.
Scholars go out of their way to support each other in any way they
can. They act as mentors and tutors, help each other plan events
or refine leadership skills, make new scholars feel at home, or
just hang out with each other and have fun.
The lasting friendships, the support, the involvement
with the university and the community – all are invaluable
facets of our program. As one scholar summed it up, "When you're
a President's Scholar, doors fly open for you."
