Scholarship Awarding Process

  1. Scholarship awardee is seleced by the selection committee.
  2. The check request is sent by the selection committee to CSUF Philanthropic Foundation or ASC.
  3. CSUF Philanthropic Foundation or ASC sends funds to Student Business Services who processes the payment.
  4. Student writes a "Thank you!" note to the donor of the scholarship.
  5. A scholarship list is sent to the Scholarships Office to be coordinated with the student's financial aid and posted to their account
  6. If the student has any balances due on their account, the scholarship funds will be applied to the balance and any remaining funds after that will be dispersed to the student. Please note that all scholarships must fit within the Cost of Attendance (COA). If you are expecting to recieve a refund for any financial aid or scholarships, we recommend that you set up direct deposit in your student portal.
