Peer Health University Network
What is the Peer Health University Network?
The Peer Health University Network (PHUN) is a student-based group whose purpose is to promote healthy behaviors and practices to fellow California State University, Fullerton students and assist with programs provided by the Health Education and Promotion Department. Peer Health Educators (PHE’s) are trained to provide presentations and coordinate campus outreach events on a variety of health topics affecting our college campus today, including reproductive health, alcohol, tobacco and other drug information, nutrition, physical fitness, stress management and mental health, as well as general health and wellness.
What types of activities does the PHUN plan?
PHUN is involved in a number of educational and outreach activities on campus. These activities include, but are not limited to: health-specific classroom presentations, program planning, implementation and evaluation, development of health marketing campaigns, campus health fairs, workshops and small conferences, and general health outreach to campus groups.
Who can become a PHUN member?
Any student enrolled at CSUF, who is in good academic standing can apply to become a member of PHUN. We encourage any student who is interested in health and wellness to join our organization, regardless of their major.
All PHUN members are expected to attend meetings from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM every Friday during the fall and spring semesters of each academic year. The meetings are held on campus in the KHS building.
