councils
Student Life & Leadership (SLL) advises the four councils as well as supports the student leaders of these organizations. SLL provides advisement to chapter leaders and trainings on event planning, risk management, organization development, and organizational management to the chapters. SLL’s programs and services for fraternities and sororities align with the FSL Four Pillars to create a constructive learning environment and provide developmental opportunities for personal and collective growth.
The Purpose of the Interfraternity Council shall be to govern, advise, and promote harmonious relations among and between member fraternities, the community, and the California State University governing bodies as a clearing house to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information among member fraternities and to encourage social, academic, service, and athletic interrelationships.
We, the Interfraternity Council, exist to promote the shared interests and values of our member fraternities: leadership, service, brotherhood, and scholarship. We believe in Fraternity and that the shared values of Fraternity drive the IFC to create better communities, better chapters, and better men.
We work to advance the academic mission of the host institution, to enable fraternal organizations to grow and thrive through collaboration and teamwork, to provide an outlet for self-governance and accountability, and to model and teach ethical leadership. In a spirit of mutual support and betterment, we, the men of the Interfraternity Council, pledge to elevate the Ritual and the values of the member organizations.
Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)
The purpose of the Multicultural Greek Council at California State University, Fullerton shall be to create and maintain high standards in the life of fraternities and sororities; to perpetuate constructive fraternity and sorority relationships; to foster an understanding of the structure and method of operation among the affiliate organizations; to address, coordinate, and develop action strategies on matters of mutual concern to the affiliate organizations; and to serve as the conduit for such actions plans as may be developed; to unify organizations, promote higher education, provide community services, enhance leadership and serve as a liaison between the Multicultural Greek Council, the University student body, ASI and administration, thereby improving the campus climate.
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)
The purpose of the NPHC at CSUF shall be to foster cooperative actions of its members in dealing with matters of mutual concern. To this end, the NPHC at CSUF shall promote the wellbeing of its affiliate fraternities and sororities, facilitate the establishment and development of campus and community service programs, and shall provide leadership training for its constituents.
The purpose of the Panhellenic council shall be to develop and maintain women’s fraternity life and interfraternity relations at a high level of accomplishment. The council promotes superior scholarship and intellectual development, sisterhood in individual member organizations and all women's fraternities, and personal and professional growth.
