In order to join a fraternity or sorority at Cal State Fullerton, interested students must meet a 2.5 term GPA and 2.5 cumulative CSUF GPA. This requirement does not apply to first-time, regularly-enrolled students, or first semester transfer students. Please note, individual chapters may have higher academic requirements for membership.

Our vision is to emphasize the scholarship pillar and have the FSL community be the pinnacle of student involvement by excelling in their academic endeavors. CSUF Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) values and respects the academic excellence of our students with an emphasis to excel in the classroom. It is the expectation that each chapter surpasses the all university GPA average and promotes academic success.
In order to continue the academic mission of the University and Student Affairs’ purpose of providing the best education and equipping students with the knowledge and skills required for success, Student Life and Leadership/Fraternity and Sorority Life requires new member processes of recognized organizations to not extend beyond the second to last week of each academic semester. Additionally, the process to complete membership must not be longer than 10 weeks.
