Programs

The Fraternity and Sorority Life area within Student Life and Leadership coordinates and conducts several educational and developmental programs throughout the academic year. These programs aim to provide both students and chapters of the FSL community with the tools and resources which may be needed through their tenure at Cal State Fullerton.

New Member Education (Nu Mu)

New Member Education (Nu Mu) educates new members from all fraternity and sorority chapters. Student Life and Leadership partners with campus departments to sponsor workshops on various topics, such as Inclusivity, Legal and Responsible Management of Alcohol, Bystander Intervention, Hazing Prevention, University Expectations, etc. The aim of Nu Mu is to familiarize students with not only recognizing behaviors within their chapters but also connecting them with appropriate campus resources.

Pursuit of Excellence Program

The Pursuit of Excellence Program assists chapters in recording their achievements and successes throughout the year. Chapters turn in their submissions, which are reviewed by campus partners. Student Life and Leadership, in collaboration with the councils, come together at the end of the year to celebrate and recognize the achievement of each chapter and award their accomplishments.

COUNCIL-RUN PROGRAMMING

In conjunction with the Fraternity and Sorority Life area within Student Life and Leadership, each individual council works through the semester to provide council wide programming to bring together the community. Below are some of the signature programs which are brought to students each academic year.

The Yardshow

The National Pan-Hellenic Council comes together each year for the annual Yardshow, hosted by the Phi Lambda chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. The Yardshow highlights the Divine Nine organizations and has taken place on the CSUF campus since 2003.

Battle of the Greeks

Battle of the Greeks unifies the Multicultural Greek Council and the campus community through spirit and competition. Chapters come together for a week to support a campus-related programs/events through fundraising efforts, volunteer services, and community involvement. Throughout the week, chapters promote a positive image through team work, philanthropy, and community awareness.

Greek Week

The Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council's Greek Week is one of CSUF's largest student-run philanthropic events. Proceeds from the week are donated to Camp Titan – a summer camp for underprivileged youth. A number of fraternity and sorority members are camp counselors for Camp Titan. Chapters have raised over $50,000 during Greek Week.
