From Dreams to Degrees: Supporting Students on the College Access Journey

California State University Fullerton's Educational Talent Search (ETS) program is a federally funded TRIO program designed to support potential first-generation, low-income students to graduate from high school and successfully enroll in postsecondary educational institutions. Our ETS program is present at six high schools in the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) where we provide programs and services to 1,100 students. All prospective students must complete an application and meet eligibility requirements in order to be admitted into the program.  

ETS works to build bridges and close equity gaps in higher education to increase access and achievement to postsecondary education for historically underrepresented populations. We strive to elicit empowerment and confidence in students and their families to foster a long lasting effect on academic achievement. Our scholars are provided with one-on-one advisement sessions, college tours, themed workshops, and other career exploration activities to inspire them on their educational journeys.
