Employee Training
In order to make sure employees know their rights and responsibilities, multiple trainings are offered to all employees and some specific populations of employees.
Gender Equity and Title IX Training
All employees must complete the CSU's Gender Equity and Title IX training on an annual basis. This training is assigned to employees upon hire and can be accessed through the Employee Training Center
(ETC). Email reminders are sent to employees when it's time to complete the training.

discrimination and harassment prevention Training
Every two years, employees must complete either the CSU's Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program for Supervisors or the CSU's Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program for Non-Supervisors. The appropriate course is assigned in the ETC based on job responsibilities and email reminders are sent to employees when it's time to complete the training.
New Employee Orientation
All new non-faculty employees receive an in-person training as part of the New Employee Orientation sessions offered by Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion (HRDI). This usually takes place on the second Wednesday of every month.
Unit 11 Employees
All Unit 11 Employees receive an in-person training annually. Information about these trainings is sent via email by Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion (HRDI) at the start of each semester.
Athletics Coaches and staff
All Athletics coaches and staff receive an in-person training on an annual basis.
Resident Advisors and peer mentors
Students holding a Resident Advisor or Peer Mentor position for Housing and Residential Engagement
receive in-person training twice per year.
Orientation Leaders
Student employees holding an Orientation Leader position receive in-person training on an annual basis.
