Prepare for Your Advising Session

Welcome to the Undeclared and Academic Advising Center. Below you will find information on how to prepare to meet with your advisor for your academic advising session or major exploration appointment.

We offer both in-person and virtual advising options, Monday – Friday. We adhere to all University campus closure dates.

Virtual Drop-In Advising

Modeled after our in-person walk-in hours, current undergraduate students will have a chance to meet with an Academic Advisor to ask quick questions about General Education or overall University requirements. Sessions with advisors will be limited to 10 minutes.

Students will be placed in a virtual waiting room upon arrival, and will be greeted by a front desk representative when it is their turn. The front desk will ask questions to determine how best to support students. If an advising session is necessary, the student will be assigned to speak with an advisor in a private breakout room. If not, the front desk will provide helpful information and refer students to the appropriate department or resource for further assistance.

Enter the Zoom Waiting Room during the times listed above. You must have a CSUF Zoom account to join the meeting.

Navigate UAAC Appointments

If you would like to have a one-on-one, live meeting with an Academic Advisor via Zoom or in-person, you may make an appointment* by downloading the Navigate Student app. Appointments are currently reserved for our undeclared students.

You can also schedule a Navigate Undeclared and Academic Advising Center Appointment through your Student Portal.

*Please note that we will add new appointments on a rolling basis, about 5 days out. We do not provide major advising.
