Housing Status Adjustment
If your housing status has changed, you can request an adjustment using the form below.
Adjustments to your housing status will affect your budget/cost of attendance but will most likely not affect your current financial aid awards.
Why would I want to request a housing status adjustment?
If your housing status is With Parent or On Campus but you are living off campus, you may want to request an adjustment to your housing status because:
- You are otherwise eligible for Cal Grant A or B but your With Parent/Commuter budget is too low for awards, or
- You are planning to borrow a Parent PLUS loan, Grad PLUS loan, or Private loan
Definitions for Housing Status
Commuter:
You will be living with parents/guardians or relatives, whether or not you pay rent.
On-Campus:
You will be living on-campus in the resident halls.
Off-Campus:
You will be living off-campus, but not with your parents or relatives.
How to submit a Housing Status Adjustment
Housing Status Adjustment Forms will be available by mid-March
