What is NSSE?

NSSE is a survey designed for undergraduate students to provide information about their educational experience.

The results provide an estimate of how undergraduates think about the quality of their education.

Nearly 1,700 four-year colleges and universities have participated the NSSE survey and approximately 6.5 million students have completed the survey since 2000 (NSSE, 2023).

This is the 10th time CSUF will participate.

Why does NSSE matter?

Student feedback from NSSE has led to:

  • Increased student success
  • Effective teaching and learning practices
  • Improved learning support services
  • Expanded co-curricular opportunities
  • Increased opportunities to engage with faculty and peers, and experience diversity
