Current Students: Virtual Advising

Dear Music Majors,

Welcome to Advising for Spring 2021 Class Registration!

Please read the entire page for all important information!

Advising will be “virtual” this semester between you and your faculty Advisor.

The Advising period will begin on Monday, October 12, but each Advisor keeps their own schedule. You’ll find your Advisor in the list below.

Registration Windows begin on October 26, with graduate students. Check your portal for your registration window!

To get started:

1. Check the list below to find your assigned Advisor. (Your Advisor is assigned solely on the degree/concentration you intend to graduate in. Therefore, your Advisor might not be the same person as your Area Coordinator.)

2. Make note of your Advisor’s name and visit TitanNet (link located below the Advisor section). This will take you to a new webpage.

3. In TitanNet select Advising then School of Music Advising , then follow the prompts.

4. Before your Advising appointment, plan your Spring 2021 courses as well as your courses for future.  Your Advisor will want from you:

1) What are you planning to take in Spring 2021,

2) What have you already taken for your degree your Unofficial Student Academic Record, and

3) What courses will you take in the future semesters.  To make these plans, use:

Schedule of Classes for Spring 2021 (visit the student center in your portal)

Download and complete the one-page Advisement and Graduation Form (available below your advisor's name). Have this completed and ready for your advising

The Master Schedule which shows all courses planned for each semester for 10 years, Spring 2021, Fall 2021, etc.
