Hunter Moody is an award-winning sound designer with a wide range of live audio experience, from theatrical performance to contemporary dance to concert reinforcement. He also has working knowledge of themed entertainment sound, content creation & integration for nonlinear experiences, audio post-production, and animation.

His work has been previously heard at South Coast Repertory (Costa Mesa), Chance Theater (Anaheim), California Repertory Company (Long Beach), New Swan Shakespeare Festival (Irvine), Jenny Wiley Theatre & the Appalachian Center for the Arts (Pikeville, KY), and Xperimental Puppetry Theater (Atlanta, GA). He is a member of United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), Audio Engineering Society (AES), and Theatrical Sound Designers & Composers of America (TSDCA).

Hunter previously served as production sound designer and audio/video engineer for Santa Monica College's Theatre Arts department, and as part-time lecturer for the CSUF Theatre & Dance department. As an educator, he has also taught at University of California, Irvine and guest-lectured for the University of Pikeville (KY). He holds a M.F.A. in Sound Design from University of California, Irvine and a B.F.A. in Theatre Design/Technology from Arkansas State University.
