BTEP Scholarship Flyer for Spring 2026

Scholarship Qualifications (up to $20,000)

  • Must be admitted into a Teacher Education Program at a California State University campus, maintain a GPA of 3.0 while enrolled in the program, and earn an Asian Language Bilingual Authorization upon completion. Failure to complete the program will result in the need to return the scholarship funds.
  • Participate in events (professional development, conferences, seminars) hosted bi-annually by the Consortium.
  • Complete post-program surveys to provide feedback on program and progress.
  • Teach or apply for a teaching position (proof required) in an Asian dual language program in a PreK-12 public school setting upon earning my Teaching Credential and Bilingual Authorization.

Scholarship Qualifications (up to $2,200)

  • Enrollment in Asian Language Bilingual Authorization courses at California State University (CSU).
  • Participate in bi-annual Asian Language Bilingual Teacher Education Program conferences.
  • Pass language proficiency exams to obtain Bilingual Authorization.
  • Teach or apply for a teaching position (proof required) in an Asian dual language program in a PreK-12 public school setting upon earning the Bilingual Authorization.

Spring 2026 BiAu Only Scholarship Application

The Asian Language Bilingual Teacher Education Program Consortium is offering up to $20,000 in scholarships to be used towards registration fees and tuition are available for K-12 teacher candidates aspiring to earn a teaching credential and bilingual authorization.  Candidates are those who have been accepted into a Teacher Credential program in CSU.  

Teachers who currently hold a California Teaching Credential may receive a $2,200 scholarship to be used towards registration fees and tuition for a bilingual authorization to teach Asian languages.
