Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at California State University, Fullerton (APA-Accredited) has decided to pause admissions to our internship program for 2025-2026 due to staff changes. We plan to use the year as an opportunity to prioritize our current trainees as well as plan and further solidify our training program for the future. We remain committed to providing quality training and supervision.  This will be a temporary pause in providing internship training opportunities next year, with plans to accept applicants and resume the internship program for the 2026-2027 training year.

CAPS doctoral internship is designed to be a forum for advanced learning of and practice in the art and the science of. We assist our interns in refining their practice as formed through both the processes of experiential training and engagement of scholarly knowledge. We emphasize the development of practitioners who have a working knowledge of accepted ethical and legal standards of practice, and who conduct themselves within these guidelines.

The training faculty is proud of the comprehensive training experience we offer our interns. We appreciate the opportunity to work with developing professionals and share the commitment to providing a meaningful training experience.
