Eligibility & Application

The applicant must be a current CSUF full-time undergraduate or current CSUF full-time graduate student. The student must have demonstrated a commitment through their significant contributions towards improving the Latino community. The student must be enrolled during the 2020-2021 academic year. The student must show active involvement in community and/or campus organizations. Undergraduates must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5. Graduate student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2. Past scholarship recipients are ineligible. Applicants must submit a one-page essay along with the scholarship application formPDF File Opens in new window . The essay must address specific questions regarding community involvement, financial aid award (if applicable), and Titan Degree Audit, along with a copy of CSUF transcripts.

Other Documents

Download your transcript through your Titan Online Portal along with your Titan Degree Audit. If applicable, include your financial aid award. Be sure to attach your one-page essay.

Deadline

All documents must be received by July 29, 2021.

Essay

In addition to the university scholarship & award application, applicants must write a one-page essay addressing the following questions:

  1. Describe how you have significantly contributed to the Latino community through your involvement with on-campus and off-campus clubs/organizations (e.g. research, community service, leadership positions).
  2. How has your involvement with on/off-campus organizations contributed to your personal development & cultural awareness?

Final Reminder

    1. Applications must be written in a professional manner.
    2. Grammar and spelling should be checked for accuracy.
    3. Applicants must be a full-time, currently enrolled CSUF student to apply and to receive this scholarship.
    4. Past scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply.
