The ROOTS (Realizing Our Opportunities To Serve) Leadership Institute is a leadership development and internship program from Diversity Initiatives & Resource Centers (DIRC) at CSU Fullerton.

Our Mission:

ROOTS's mission is to guide and empower our student leaders to realize their leadership potential and opportunities to serve the CSUF campus and the larger Southern California community.

Our goal is to create future leaders of the CSUF campus and beyond who will make an impact in their communities through advocacy, service, and leadership.

What You Will Do

ROOTS interns complete a 150-hour Leadership Project at an internship site during the Spring 2027 semester to make a positive impact on the CSUF campus or in the larger Southern California community.

Interns who complete their project and all program requirements receive a  $2,250 stipend  at the conclusion of the program. We invite you to apply for this special opportunity to make an impact in your community.
