Community Engagement Student Assistant

Strengthen campus connections by increasing awareness of DIRC services and supporting the planning of community-building programs.

  • Event planning, setup, and on-site support
  • Front desk coverage and student outreach

Communications & Graphic Design Student Assistant

Design graphics, develop marketing materials, and manage social media content that promotes DIRC's programs, events, and services.

  • Graphic design using Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Social media content creation and management
  • Event promotion across campus platforms

$16.90/hr (undergraduate rate) | 15-20 hrs/wk

Undergraduate & Graduate

Digital Communications & Engagement Student Assistant

Elevate DIRC's digital presence through strategic content, event coverage, and signature program promotion across social platforms.

  • Short-form video, photos, and student testimonials

DIRC Department Graduate Student Assistant

Work closely with DIRC leadership on assessment, operations, and the design of large-scale department programs and student leadership initiatives.

  • Assessment design and data reporting

Resource Center Graduate Student Assistant

Partner with a specific DIRC resource center Coordinator to design, implement, and assess programs, trainings, and student support initiatives.

  • Program development and facilitation
  • Budget and operational support
  • Stakeholder relations and staff oversight

$19.40/hr (Graduate rate) | 20hrs/wk

Undergraduate and Graduate

Student Mentor — Mentorship Program

Provide individualized guidance to DIRC mentees, including students impacted by the immigration system, and connect them to campus resources.

  • One-on-one mentee meetings and support

Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled  full-time at CSUF
  • Must maintain  good academic standing
  • Graduate roles require  completed undergrad degree
  • Open to all students regardless of background

Training Dates

  • Grad Summer Training:  July 14–15, 2026
  • Summer SA Training:  Aug 11–14, 2026
  • Spring SA Training:  Jan 13–15, 2027
  • Attendance at training is required for all positions

Schedule & Commitment

  • All positions are  on-site and in-person
  • 15–20 hrs/wk (undergrad); 20 hrs/wk (grad)
  • Schedule tailored around your  class schedule
  • Some evenings and weekends for special events
  • Weekly Friday staff and department meetings
