The Judith A. Presch Desert Research Scholarship
Provides 1-2 awards of $500 each, plus a waiver of one year of fees at the DSC, for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing research in arid lands. The scholarship is named in memory of Judith A. Presch, human resources specialist at CSU Fullerton, and supporter of the DSC. Applications are typically due in autumn.

The Desert Studies CSU Faculty Grant-writing Support Award
For CSU faculty, the award funds three WTUs of reassigned time for one semester to pursue grants for research and/or educational activities in California deserts, especially those that will make use of the DSC facilities and resources. Contact the Director of the CDSC for more information.

Western National Parks Association Grants
Provides one-year and multi-year grants to support research that benefits the management, preservation, and interpretation of National Park Service resources.
National Park Service Fellowships and Internships
Highly competitive research fellowships for postdoctoral study in the Scientists in Parks Fellowship Program in the National Parks. The NPS Pathways Program offers current students and recent graduates paid internships and streamlined hiring programs to explore federal career opportunities.
Desert Conservation Program
Established with the 2021 California Desert Conservation Act and administered by the Wildlife Conservation Board, it provides funds for wildlife conservation programs focused on the southern California deserts.
