Explore Core Practical Information

An Explore Core course is a series of connected modules, each representing the point of view of a different College. You can sign up for any section in any College that offers the Explore Core course you are interested in. That section will be your “homeroom.” You will meet in the same classroom all semester long, starting out with a homeroom instructor who will introduce the theme and structure of the course and teach the first disciplinary module from their College’s point of view. Every few weeks, as you complete each module, a new instructor from one of the other disciplines represented in your selected Explore Core course will arrive to teach a module reflecting how their College approaches the same theme. Your original homeroom instructor will return for the conclusion of the course and will lead you through the completion of your Explore Core project.
