Christine Scher, Ph.D.
Department of Psychology
Dr. Scher is a Los Angeles native and first-generation college student. She has been a CSU faculty member for >20 years and is currently a Professor in the Department of Psychology.
Dr. Scher has an extensive record of service supporting faculty, including three years (and counting) as Chair of CSUF’s Faculty Affairs Committee, one year as Chair of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences’ Personnel Standards Review Committee, and a current term as At-Large Academic Senator. Within her department, Dr. Scher is Coordinator for the Master of Science in Clinical Psychology program and supports students in investigating risk and resilience factors following traumatic stress. She is excited to continue supporting faculty in her new role as Faculty Fellow.
