2026 CSU Grad Slam: Three-Minute Thesis Competition

The Office of Graduate Studies is proud to announce that Cal State Fullerton will be hosting the 2026 California State University Grad Slam: Three-Minute Thesis Competition.

This competition showcases and celebrates the outstanding research and creative activities of graduate students from across the CSU campuses. Participants take up the challenge of communicating complex research and data to a non-specialist audience in three minutes or less. 

The event will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026. More information will follow soon. For questions, please contact gradstudiesrecept@fullerton.edu.

CSU Grad Slam Student Participant Registration

Congratulations to those of you who won your campus competitions! We look forward seeing your presentation in the system-wide Grad Slam competition on May 1, 2026.

Registration Deadline: April 17, 2026 by 11:59pm. Please contact us at gradstudiesrecept@fullerton.edu if you need additional time.

Registration Steps:

Please provide the photo release, your presentation slide, and a quality headshot, then complete the registration form.

  1. Please download and complete the  photo release.
  2. Use this slide template to create your competition slide. 
  3. Find a high-quality photo of yourself that we can use for marketing materials and introductory PowerPoint slides.  
  4. Once you’ve gathered your materials,  complete the registration form . You will attach your slide, photo, and photo release to the form.
