HPAO Advisor

Lauren Meier is the Assistant Director of the Health Professions Advising Office at Cal State Fullerton. With nearly a decade of experience working in higher education, Lauren brings a wide range of expertise to the role including academic and career advising as well as program planning and evaluation. Prior to her work at CSUF, Lauren was a Program Director at the University of Maryland University Career Center and the President’s Promise. She was embedded in the School of Public Health where she advised undergraduate and graduate students on topics related to career exploration, job and internship searching, graduate school applications, and more.

Lauren has a Masters of Science degree in Counseling from the California State University, Long Beach and Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She enjoys using her background in counseling, specifically Narrative Therapy, to help students find their voice, identify their strengths, and exert control over their career paths and lives.
