- CSUF undergraduate students who have completed required prerequisite coursework
- Pre-Health Professions Certificate (PHPC) students who have completed at least one semester
- Students with at least one academic year remaining at CSUF after acceptance
- Students who demonstrate strong academic performance and interest in podiatric medicine
Academic Requirements
Students must meet both CSUF linkage requirements and WesternU DPM admission requirements, which generally include:
- Completion of required prerequisite coursework in biology, chemistry, and mathematics
- Completion of courses such as General Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Calculus (or equivalent)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of approximately 3.0 or higher, including science GPA
- Completion of the CSUF linkage application and support from the Health Professions Committee
- One letter of recommendation from a science faculty member and one from a podiatric physician or surgeon
- Competitive MCAT score (typically around 22 or higher, with no subsection below minimum thresholds)
- Completion of at least the first year of prerequisite science coursework prior to application
