Residential Engagement Model

Students will discover multifaceted opportunities to engage with and develop a sense of spirit and pride for the CSUF community and traditions 

Students will understand the value of becoming immersed in campus activities, clubs, and organizations and how such engagement enhances their overall experience. 

Students will establish connections with others through participation in campus and community events. 

Students will cultivate their Titan identity and pride through shared experiences. 

Students will  understand and know how to access campus resources that can support continued academic success. 

Students will develop skill sets in time management, self-care planning and balancing responsiblities 

Students will welcome academic hallenges and will be able to identify opportunities for growth. 

Students will  seek out participation in collaborative and hands-on learning opportunities that can support their growth in their field of study.

Students will support sustainable practices and understand the environmental impact individuals have on the greater community. 

Students will develop the ability to critically evaluate societal issues, policies, and community needs, making informed decisions that reflect ethical reasoning and a commitment to the common good. 

Students will engage with CSUF and the surrounding communities through volunteerism and community service. 

Students will recognize their role in shaping an equitable society and understand the importance of civility and political discourse. 

Students will actively contribute to an inclusive residential environment by recognizing and valuing diverse identities, experiences, and perspectives, ensuring all community members feel respected and welcomed.

Students will enhance their understanding of different cultures, identities, and lived experiences, while developing the skills to navigate and engage in meaningful, respectful, constructive conversations across differences. 

Students will cultivate inclusive leadership skills by participating in initiatives, events, and dialogues that promote belonging, collaboration, and mutual respect among diverse peers in their residential community. 

Students will develop the ability to engage in open, respectful discussions with those who may have differing views from their own in order to foster a culture of learning and growth within their residential community
