Residential Learning Model

Living on campus provides more than a roof over your head. We offer a comprehensive experience that helps residents make the most of their time on campus. Based on the theory of self-authorship by Marcia Baxter Magolda and the theory of challenge and support by Nevitt Sanford, our Residential Learning Model (RLM) is a commitment to our residents. Through the RLM, residents will have the opportunity to participate in activities and learning that will help them learn, connect, and grow.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Residents enhance their interpersonal skills, which improves the quality of their interactions with others. Developing effective communication skills allows residents to address confrontation and conflict in a respectful manner. A greater understanding of self and others aids in healthy communication and advocacy for self.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Residents learn effective ways to address the demands and challenges of being socially responsible and productive members of our global society. The concept of interconnectedness help residents understand their place in the world. Understanding the rules of a community and the consequences of their actions will guide residents in responsible decision-making.
