WHY CHOOSE CSUF Asian American Studies

Asian American studies is a dynamic, interdisciplinary field that focuses on the historical and contemporary experiences of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Students in our program collaborate with faculty experts to explore a multitude of research interests, including gender and sexuality studies, cultural studies and language.

As critical scholars, Asian American studies students learn through active engagement inside and outside the classroom, community-focused research, service learning and student leadership opportunities.
