WHY CHOOSE CSUF Liberal Studies

In the liberal studies program, our students become critical thinkers and creative problem-solvers whose research integrates knowledge from the humanities, arts, natural sciences and social sciences.

Our students collaborate with faculty members who have research expertise in such areas as music aesthetics, theory and religion, literature and science, and the history of food and culture. The program’s interdisciplinary thematic emphasis allows students to create a personalized education plan with courses that complement their interests and career goals.
