Using Campus Computer Labs & Collaboration Space

Most labs are on a first come / first serve basis, and reservations are not allowed except for group study rooms.  Students who have questions about labs can ask at the Student Genius Center (SGC) for help.

College specific resources

Some colleges will have labs dedicated for use by students within their majors / courses.  Check with your instructor to see if your college includes resources for use.

Off-Campus and Guest Users

Students who need spcialized software but are not on campus can use the virtual lab.  It allows you to log into a remote machine with preloaded software.

All computers require a login to use, if you are a community guest, visiting scholar, or other affiliated guest user you will need to get a login before using them.  

Affiliated and guest users

The Student Genius Center (SGC) provides one-day access to computer resources for Pollak Library's affiliated patrons.

Affiliated users are identified as:

  • From other educational institutions - universities, colleges, high schools
  • CSUF Alumni
  • OLLI members

All users are required to follow the proper conduct in any compter lab on Campus.
