What is Splashtop?

Splashtop Business App allows both Mac and PCs to connect to a Mac computer running software under the Mac OS. 

It is an application that requires you to download and install it before using.

What is AppStream (AWS)?

AppStream (AWS) is a virtual machine preloaded with software that you can use.  While Splashtop has the same software for all users, AppStream can be different depending on your College or program.  

  • Access to the virtual labs is provided based on your Campus account. 
  • Amazon AppStream has no software to download.
  • General and College/Program specific instances may have different software.
