What are JAWS and ZoomText?

JAWS, Job Access With Speech, is the world's most popular screen reader, developed for computer users whose vision loss prevents them from seeing screen content or navigating with a mouse.

ZoomText Magnifier/Reader is a fully integrated magnification and reading program tailored for low-vision users. Magnifier/Reader enlarges and enhances everything on your computer screen, echoes your typing and essential program activity, and automatically reads documents, web pages, and email.

Using Freedom Scientific Software

Eligibility

You must be a currently enrolled student or active faculty/staff member.

 

Eligible users get ONE  license for  AT HOME USE  of either products offered by Freedom Scientific:  ZoomText or JAWS.  The software can be installed on up to 3 devices and is available for Windows computers only.

 

Get Started

Register for your personal license, you will need to use your CSUF email address to register.

Mac Users

While these products are designed to work on Windows computers Apple users do have an option for support.
