What is Snagit?

Snagit screen capture enables you to quickly grab screenshots, record your screen, and add annotations to communicate processes and concepts clearly.

Eligibility & Prerequisites

Each active CSUF faculty/staff member is entitled to one campus subscription for at-home use.

Faculty/Staff: Get a Personal License

Submit a request using our online request form.

Request Snagit License

Download & Installation Instructions

  1. Request license key under "Get a Personal License".  An email will be sent with the link to download the software and the license key.
  2. Open the download link from your email.
  3. Once downloaded, refer to the installation instructions on your email.
  4. Once installed, if you have an existing Snagit acount login and enter your key.  If you don't have an account - you will need create one first.
