11/15/2024 - Provost Search Update
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to share some updates regarding our search for the next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Our successful efforts to date are due to the collaborative effort of our invaluable campus search committee and guidance from our partners in HRDI.
To increase the effectiveness of our search, we have engaged with Koya Partners from Diversified Search Group to support our search process based on their experience, extensive network, and proven track record of recruiting talented academic leaders to prominent colleges and universities. An updated position profile has been posted, detailing the application process that Koya Partners will manage on behalf of our campus. We are advertising nationally to generate a strong pool of qualified and diverse applicants for this position. We encourage you to share the profile with your network of potential applicants.
Additionally, the search committee is hosting two listening sessions in December, 2024. These sessions are an opportunity for the campus community to share suggestions for what qualities and characteristics we should seek in our next provost. We also want to know your thoughts on the challenges our new provost is likely to encounter, short and long-term goals, and points of pride about Cal State Fullerton that we want to share with all candidates. Campus community members who cannot participate in the listening sessions in person can watch the listening sessions via Zoom. Recordings of the listening sessions will be available for viewing by the campus community.
