Call for Programs

The Queer/Trans People of Color Conference invites students, faculty, staff, educators, and professionals from across Southern California colleges and universities to propose programs for our regional conference on Friday, April 16, 2027, at California State University, Fullerton.

The QTPOC Conference brings together queer and trans people of color and our allies across campuses and communities to learn, connect, create, heal, organize, and imagine collective futures.

We are seeking engaging programs that reflect the diverse experiences, knowledge, creativity, and expertise of QTPOC communities. Proposals may take many forms, including workshops, presentations, facilitated discussions, research presentations, panels, artistic experiences, professional development sessions, community conversations, and other interactive formats.

You do not need to be an experienced conference presenter to submit a proposal. We especially welcome emerging scholars, student leaders, community educators, artists, organizers, and first-time presenters.

Our goals for this conference

• Cultivate belonging and community for LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and faculty to experience connection, affirmation, and personal development across regional campuses.
• Develop equity-minded leaders who integrate inclusive practices into their civic, academic, and professional communities.
• Advance holistic student success by connecting LGBTQIA+ students with identity-affirming resources, educational opportunities, and co-curricular support that strengthens wellbeing and academic achievement.
• Create pathways for LGBTQIA+ community partnerships and professional connections to help prepare students for their future beyond the university.
