The Ericksen LGBTQ Grant Program The Ericksen LGBTQ Grant Program at Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) provides financial assistance to LGBTQ identifying students who have been affected by an unforeseen emergency, crisis, catastrophic event, or personal hardship. This program is designed to assist students who cannot reasonably resolve their financial difficulty through scholarships and/or other financial aid awards. Support may include funds for basic living expenses such as housing, transportation or academic funding due to a loss of familial support (e.g. books, tuition, campus housing, etc.). The grants are provided at the discretion of the LGBT Queer Resource Center (LGBTQRC) Coordinator in consultation with the Diversity Initiatives & Resource Centers Director. Grants are awarded up to $500 per student per academic year and decided by the LGBTQRC Coordinator and Associate Dean of Students. Students will be accepted on an as-needed basis.
- Must be enrolled and matriculated CSUF student - Must be able to demonstrate an urgent financial need. Supporting documentation is helpful. - Must have exhausted all sources of financial assistance - Must be a student who identifies as LGBTQ and/or who is exploring their sexual orientation and/or gender identity - Must meet regularly with the LGBTQ RC Coordinator or participate as a volunteer in a referred LGBTQ RC program/service - Must meet with the Associate Dean of Students after awarded the grant
